As a Molding Operator I, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
- Operates curing ovens as well as manual and automatic hydraulic heating and cooling molding equipment.
- Monitors molding temperature and pressure.
- Verifies platen/mold temperature per specifications.
- Selects, assembles, molds disassembles, operates and cleans mold parts
- Reads and deciphers the Phenolic Core molding Characteristics chart
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:
- Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed prior to start)
- Interested and available to work First shift (6AM –4:30PM, Monday - Thursday), working overtime, and/or short notice shift coverage as needed.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Must be able to use basic measuring devices (micrometer, calipers, protractors, and etc.) to ensure product meets specifications.
- Must be able to understand basic CAD drawings/prints.
- Requires production and inspection experience to perform duties. Operate equipment (lathe and drill press) following department Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs).
- Must possess basic computer skills along with basic mathematical skills and is able to perform basic mathematical calculations
- Must be able to read and use Micrometer / Calipers
