Take ownership for developing and maintaining lender relationships, managing lender communication, and conducting regular cadence calling effort
Record and maintain lender call notes and points of contact, with regular dissemination to the Loan Syndications group
Assist with the formulation of syndication strategies and lender targeting in consultation with the Head of Loan Syndicate & Sales
Manage sales process for new transactions and amendments, including coordinating lender invitations, delivering sales pitches, tracking lender updates and diligence questions, managing lender commitments deadlines and documentation, and acting as gatekeeper for lender communication
Provide timely syndication updates including early problem recognition
Source market intelligence, including trend development, lender appetite, and deal updates and present and disseminate this information to the Loan Syndications group
Assist with drafting market update materials, including quarterly loan market update pitch slides, Loan Market Newsletter, and monthly group updates regarding notable deals, lender developments, and trends
Help manage the use of Debtdomain as primary deal site provider, including overall relationship, subscription, and templates
Develop business and credit judgment as well as provide balanced assessments in working with internal team members and partners
Maintain a strong attention to detail, deliver high quality work product, and complete work in assigned timeframes
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s/University Degree
6-8 years of banking experience, preferably with loan syndication, capital markets experience
Completion of formal credit training program preferred
FINRA Licensing, Series 79, 63, SIE (current or ability to obtain)
Fundamental credit skills, including demonstrated ability to evaluate business, industry, financial performance, and structure/terms
Strong financial and analytic skills, including proficiency with financial modeling and ability to rapidly assimilate complex information
Detail-oriented individual with strong organization ability and excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills
Obtain/maintain required FINRA registration and licensing
