Your impact
The employee will work alongside our local team and support senior-level engineers and project managers in performing the following tasks:
- Assist senior engineers on larger, complex projects, including task management.
- Participate in and lead tasks to support and mentor junior staff.
- Perform a wide variety of routine assignments which are clearly defined and require the application of standard design engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
- Independently evaluate the selection and/or modification of standard techniques, procedures, criteria, and systems to efficiently meet project goals.
- Prepare planning documents, reports, studies, and calculations.
- Prepare models, engineering specifications, data sheets, sketches, drawings and perform calculations in support of engineering activities.
- Possess a positive attitude, are dependable and meet assigned project deadlines.
- Effectively work with project teams with diverse technical skill sets and geographic locations.
- Display strong communication and interpersonal skills and work in a fast-paced consulting environment.
- Collaborate on and contribute to maintaining and building strong client relationships.
Here's what you'll need
- Bachelor of Science in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related engineering field.
- 1-3 years of water engineering experience.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to lead and work with multi-disciplinary teams on complex infrastructure projects.
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Master of Science in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related engineering field.
- Professional Engineer License in Arkansas or ability to gain reciprocity.
- Previous professional experience with a consulting firm.
- Professional society involvement.
- Adept at interpersonal relationship building, conflict resolution, and participating in diverse teams.
