As a Project Manager- Strategy & Portfolio Governance in the Payments Operations Strategy Office, you will be an integral part of the team, supporting strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing client experience, driving revenue growth, and mitigating risk. You’ll work closely with senior leaders to analyze data, develop strategic recommendations, and assist in the execution of key projects. The team operates across four pillars: operating strategy, portfolio planning, portfolio execution and benefits realization. Each pillar serves as a cornerstone, strategically aligned to propel the organization towards its goal and the Payments Operations Strategy Office is focused on propelling the payments revolution and enabling Operations to deliver and execute at infinite scalability, agnostic of product and clients, in a globally consistent and secure manner.
Job responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and support for a business that has ambitious long-term plans for growth in a highly competitive, complex environment.
- Uphold various responsibilities for Strategic Planning, Portfolio Management, Data Analysis, Stakeholder Engagement, Change Management, and Continuous Improvement.
- Support the development and implementation of operating strategies that align with organizational goals and to drive sustainable growth
- Support the governance, planning, execution, and benefit realization of strategic initiatives across the organization through the Investment Proposal process; work with transversally across the organization to articulate Investment Proposals.
- Leverage data analytics to uncover insights, identify trends, and inform strategic decision making.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholder to drive alignment and collaboration to define and execute on strategic vision.
- Lead change initiatives to drive adoption of new processes, systems, strategies, and recommendations (i.e., future organizational design, business opportunities etc.).
- Identify proactively, opportunities for process optimization and innovation to drive operational excellence.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Strong sense of prioritization and the ability to execute against deliverables. Able to take personal accountability for projects and issue resolution
- Demonstrated ability to support and lead cross-functional initiatives with significant technology and operational components, manage project timeline, and drive projects to successful outcomes
- Capacity to think critically, anticipate future needs, and develop solutions to complex challenges and strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey complex ideas, influence stakeholders, and drive alignment
- Ability to analyze complex data sets, identify trends, drive actionable insights to inform strategic decision-making
- Familiarity with data analytics tools and techniques, including data visualization, data analysis, and data modelling to uncover insights and support decision making
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, adapt to changing priorities and effectively manage ambiguity while maintaining focus on strategic objectives and proficiency in building and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, fostering collaboration and driving consensus
- Bachelor’s degree, Finance, Economics, or related field
- Experience in, or capability to, quickly excel in Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau, Alteryx, Visio, Qlikview, Cognos, etc.
