What You'll Do

As a Cloud Infrastructure & Software Sales Specialist, you will develop and execute a strategic plan that exceeds revenue targets. Your account charter includes computing platforms, application analytics and insights, on-prem data centers, hybrid cloud technologies, and AI native infrastructure. You will develop well-organized ideas, plans, and business examples; clearly explain relevant facts; distinguish Cisco's own offerings from competitors’; and present a well-prepared, business solution. You will develop and drive strategic sales activity and thought leadership around data center solutions by collaborating through cross-functional teams. Previous sales experience that required collaboratively working with an extended sales team to identify and close opportunities is a requirement.

Objectives and Responsibilities:
  • Increase rapid acceptance of converged, hyper-converged, cloud computing, and data center networking technologies.
  • Clarify customers' mission-critical application needs and partner with appropriate ISVs.
  • Define and articulate a hybrid cloud journey for your customers.
  • Be on the forefront of understanding and being able to communicate Cisco’s strategy and vision in this new technology direction.
  • Having the ability to build in-depth business expertise in the underlying and associated technologies and architectures.
  • Working in conjunction with the Cisco Product Development Organization and the field teams to determine gaps in go-to-market strategies.
  • Build and define sales strategy for a given geographic or market segment (AI Infrastructure, On-prem/Hybrid/Multi-Cloud Infrastructure, and Future State Architecture.)
  • Provide product expertise with business value for customers including ROI/TCO analysis.
  • Contribute to the development of content and messaging that emphasizes Cisco’s strengths in this market and resonates with both the field and customers.
  • Ability to execute a business plan to gain market share, and build solid relationships with customers and internal constituents.

Sales Specialists will be responsible for gaining market penetration with the associated solutions as well as establishing a breadth of reference accounts in a variety of verticals. Industry knowledge, market trends, and direction awareness are essential, as Cisco will continue to partner and form ecosystems to deliver comprehensive solutions to our customer base. To successfully gain a footprint in the customer data center a solid understanding and continued development of competitive strategies will be required.

Who You Are
  • BS/BA or equivalent.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience selling data center solutions, servers, platforms, enterprise applications, server virtualization technology, network virtualization technology, and storage virtualization technology.
  • You must have strong IT sales experience, a good aptitude to learn and unlearn, and the grit to overcome odds and perform under intense pressure.
  • Proficient in Japanese and conversational level in English
