Responsibilities:
Be an evangelist for the portfolio and will be responsible for Product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle as per Honeywell Z21 process. Other responsibilities include
· Own development of road maps for products & solutions by identifying the potential gaps in the market versus the current portfolio specially mapping legal requirements across ICAO, FAA and other markets.
· Conduct voice-of-customer (VOC) and market research to identify opportunities based on underlying needs of end users & wider stakeholders.
· Commercialize offerings including SKU creation, pricing, and costing strategies, conduct market research & product trainings, develop marketing strategy, generate product requirements, Determine specifications, Plan production schedule, product certification & product launch
· Develop the business case new or improvements of existing products and prepare the budget requirements & manage the utilization of approved budget.
· Determines product pricing by utilizing market research data; reviewing production and sales costs; anticipating volume; costing special and customized orders.
· Provides information for management by preparing short-term and long-term product sales forecasts and special reports and analyses; answering questions and requests. Prepare reports on the products by segment, markets, region, sector, size, etc.
· Collaborate with Marketing to ensure all aspects of 4P marketing mix, analyze market and competitor’s activities and products and prepare proactive action plan.
· Coordinate with the sales team to monitor sales of respective product line for each market, and work together to provide recommendations as how to improve the sellout and obtain product market share by working with sales director to develop product sales strategies.
· Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies like FAA, EuroControl, EuroCAE, CANSO, SESAR, NEXGEN etc.
· Manage partnerships, including cross- SBU development activities, customer support, and escalations
Few of the parameters that the Senior Offering Manager will be measured are:
· Product differentiation thru Innovation & Intellectual Property creation.
· Manage and deliver on VPD Scorecard like Cycle Time, Budget etc., with effective collaboration with R&D team
· Product Launch Management with effective collaboration with Marketing & Sales teams
· Strong customer engagement with Workshops, Road shows & Demo sessions.
Skills & Qualifications:
Product Management, Network within industry, Manage customer relationship, Requirements Analysis, Competitive Analysis, Sales Planning, Presentation skills, technical understanding, Business enablement etc.
Requirements
· Strong Marketing & Technical education background
· Bachelor’s in Engineering (Electrical / Electronic Eng). (Masters/ MBA and suitable Product Management experience in Airfield Lighting Industry is a plus).
· Strong communication & presentation skills.
· Hands on Experience with Airports airside market and products
· Product management lifecycle experience with understanding and perspective on emergent technologies
· Ability to motivate, manage / influence the team
· Ability to influence and negotiate in a matrix organization
· Minimum 8 years of working experience within Airports Airside domain and understanding of Airfield operations
