Key Responsibilities

  • Support and lead research project teams in the areas of catalysis and conversion of various feedstocks to discover fundamental chemistries and invent new technologies which fill UOP’s technology pipelines.
  • Propose ideas for new projects, develop project plans with management, and initiate new projects including identifying requirements for equipment, resources, and outside innovation.
  • Utilize catalyst characterization and screening methods to build structure-property relationships and accelerate catalyst discovery.
  • Stay current on patent and open literature as they relate to research programs and identify opportunities for research directions. Document all innovative concepts and lead in the generation of intellectual property.
  • Interface with other UOP departments to ensure robust catalysis R&D and develop new collaborations.
  • Communicate important project results to cross-functional teams and ensure progress is documented in research reports.
  • Participate in all departmental safety activities and conduct all work with a high degree of attention to safety.

The annual base salary range for this position is $108,000 - $130,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics and 6 + years experience in heterogeneous catalysis.
