The Verint IT Tier2 Infrastructure team is responsible for 2nd level support of the regional infrastructure. The scope of engagement covers deployment and support of various technologies, including Windows, Security Products and regional Infrastructure. This also includes participation & implementation of Global products. The role would require adherence to ITIL standards. The role will require an individual who will work closely with other members of the wider IT Services team but who is also comfortable working individually as and when required.
About the position.
This role is of Senior Network Engineer it tier 2 infrastructure.
- This role is based around a 24 X 5 schedule with on call on the weekends.
- As part of tire 2 infrastructure team ensure tickets / issues are resolved according to SLA.
- Act as an escalation point of contact for NOC and resolve “Major Incident” situations.
- Troubleshoot Network Performance: Need to monitor the performance of the network infrastructure, diagnosing and troubleshooting issues, and making necessary changes to optimize system performance.
- Collaborate with IT Teams: Sr. Network engineers work closely with other IT teams, including developers, operations, and security teams. They collaborate with these teams to ensure that the network infrastructure meets the organization’s requirements and can support its goals.
- Automation: Senior Network engineers develop and implement automation to simplify and streamline the management of network infrastructure. Write scripts for managing network components.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues related to infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with security best practices, including access controls, encryption, and monitoring.
- Facilitate seamless integration of network services into DevOps workflows like Kubernetes.
- Kubernetes Specialization:
- Provide subject matter expertise in Kubernetes.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate Kubernetes clusters into our network architecture.
- Ensure seamless communication between Kubernetes workloads and other network components.
- Troubleshooting and Support:
- Resolve escalated network issues promptly.
- Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance.
- Collaborate with tiered support to address user needs effectively.
- Documentation:
- Maintain accurate network documentation.
- Document network designs, configurations, and changes.
- Create relevant KB articles for future reference.
Required qualifications.
- BSc or equivalent in computer science or related field
- At least 5-10 years’ experience in a related role.
- Proven technical skills in a similar environment or company
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in the English language
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to work under low supervision.
- ITIL \ Service Now
- A good understanding of the below technologies is desirable
- Meraki Skills:
- Experience with Cisco Meraki networking solutions.
- Configure and manage Meraki devices (routers, switches, access points).
- Implement network policies and security features.
- Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP) preferred.
- Proficiency in Kubernetes and Meraki solutions.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to handle complex network issues.
- Scripting and Automation: Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell.
- Familiarity with Systems related infrastructure will we added advantage.
- Experience \ Familiarity with Azure network solutions.
- Experience on configuring and working with monitoring tools like Splunk will be appreciated.
