Work closely with manufacturing to establish processes and procedures to ensure consistently high quality and analyze and interpret data independently to anticipate potential problems and take preventative action
Utilize product quality plans and control plans, maintain quality performance metrics, and drive issues to root cause solutions
Work with Manufacturing Engineering to have a process that meets the product specification and tolerance and audit the manufacturing line against released manufacturing processes and procedures and process and implement Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) as required
Assist in the identification and resolution of incoming material and manufacturing quality issues, contain parts or products as needed, sort parts for quality requirements, and analyze and disposition component and product defects as a member of the Material Review Board
Participate in continuous improvement activities with manufacturing and take part in an ongoing optimization of the products concerning both cost and production technology
Work with Supply Quality Engineering and Suppliers to maintain adherence to specifications that support production requirements
Support FMEA activities to identify design and manufacturing issues and mitigate risks. Provide Design for Manufacturability feedback to Engineering, as well as participate in DFM reviews
What You’ll Bring
3+ years of experience within quality systems in a high-volume manufacturing environment
Strong aptitude with electronic and manual test and measurement systems
Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams
Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, ability to lift and sort parts of up to 30 pounds as needed
Ability to use technological tools and business system applications to manage, synthesize, and interpret data
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing practices, 5S, TPS, TQM, etc. are highly desired

Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods of time, up to 12 hours/day
Frequently and repetitively, lift, push and carry up to 35 lbs.
The ability to carry 20 lbs. up and down stairs
Frequently and repetitively, bend, lift and reach to install vehicle parts of varying size and weight overhead, accurately and in allotted timeframes
Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours/day, including over varied and uneven terrain
Stoop, lay, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crouch, twist and crawl for extended periods of time, including up to 12 hours/day
Climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding or other high structures
Ability to find issues in a work process and receive safety signals using sight, touch, and hearing
Demonstrated ability to handle and manipulate tooling and mechanically fasten bolts within required cycle time, quickly and accurately during new hire training and maintaining ability throughout employment
Exposures to hazardous materials used in the painting process and ability to follow waste handling/disposal procedures
Wearing Personal Protective Equipment, including but not limited to safety glasses, safety shoes, bump caps, hearing protection, full-face respirators, gloves, and adhering to prescribed safety rules and guidelines
