What to Expect The Mobile Equipment Maintenance Technincian uses knowledge in industrial mobile equipment to sustain production equipment processes. Maintenance Mechanics respond to breakdowns of industrial mobile equipment and make repairs as quickly as possible. They diagnose the root cause to machine breakdowns and perform preventative maintenance to optimize machinery uptime.
What You’ll Do - Routine and preventative maintenance on industrial mobile equipment including forklifts, scissor lifts, tuggers
- Diagnose and perform repairs on industrial mobile equipment to minimize downtime
- Diagnosing and performing repairs of gas, LP, and diesel operated equipment
- Diagnose and repair electric forklift, tuggers, electric pallet jacks, and flatbeds
- Perform safety inspections on mobile equipment
- Turn wrenches, screw drivers and other hand tools and power tools
What You’ll Bring - High level of safety consciousness
- Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience with the following equipment preferred
- Having a working knowledge of hydraulics electrical fuel systems and/or charging systems
- Welding and Metal Fabrication/machine shop experience
- Computer literacy and ability to move through troubleshooting software
Essential Physical Demands
- Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods of time, up to 12 hours a day
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours a day, including over varied and uneven terrain
- Frequently and repetitively, lift, push and carry up to 35 lbs., including the ability to carry 20 lbs. up and down stairs
- Frequently and repetitively, bend, lift and reach to install parts
- Stoop, lay, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crouch, twist and crawl for extended periods of time, including up to 12 hours a day
- Climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding or other high structures
- Ability to find issues in a work process and receive safety signals using sight, touch, and hearing
- Wearing Personal Protective Equipment, including but not limited to: hard hat, safety glasses, safety shoes, reflective vest, and adhering to prescribed safety rules and guidelines
