Design Professionals of Record (DPORs which are project Architects, Engineers).Assist the Owner and DPORs to identify long lead time items and provide recommendations on materials for pre purchase. Assist in the review Contractor and Subcontractor bids and manage bidder pre-qualifications. Participate in generating and execute construction logistics plans. Identify potential construction issues and facilitate providing alternative onsite solutions with the DPORs. Implement and update a Risk Management Log and Quality Management Log. Review and help maintain the construction schedule. Evaluate actual progress to that of the schedule and notify the project team of any delays or discrepancies. Responsible for providing on-site technical analysis and assistance to the project engineer and architect of record (EOR and AOR respectively). This analysis and review will be performed alongside design professionals for all new and ongoing hospital / healthcare construction projects in California. Utilize extensive knowledge and experience in civil engineering technology to provide support to the design team in tasks which include, but are not limited to, architectural, structural, mechanical, medical gas and other engineering fields. Review drawings, evaluate plans and the hospital budget to estimate construction and operational costs. logistics. Collaborate with the architect and engineer of record. Manage project costs, the construction schedule and document control. Utilize software such as Navisworks, Bluebeam and AutoCAD for the review of drawings and plans. Will utilize industry standard software to track, manage and report project costs to upper management. Responsible for performing regular jobsite walks to enforce jobsite safety, and to ensure that the work being installed conforms with the project specifications and design. Review design drawings with the administrative team to confirm the drawings conform to the hospital standards and requirements Complete reports on site visits to ensure safety and drawings are in accordance with specifications Evaluate contract drawings and perform constructability review with contractor Prepare and review project budgets Review and enforce the project schedule as it relates to deliverables, construction and close out Assist in weekly owner meetings to provide updates on the project progress.
Supervise the work of Project Engineer.

SPECIFIC SKILLS:expertise/ knowledge of: eBuilder, CMiC and Procore as databases Scheduling software such as Microsoft Project and Primavera P6 Healthcare construction projects in California; compliant with State Agency Regulations, for example, California Department of Health Care Access and Information.
