Manufacturing Engineering Internwill support our 3D printers SLA, NEO and Origin technologies in a manufacturing setting. You will develop processes and procedures and conduct continuous improvement (kaizen, time studies, value stream mapping) projects in a manufacturing setting. The intern will also design manufacturing aids that can be used in the manufacturing setting.

What you will be doing:

• Support New Product Integration (NPI) efforts for P3 providing project management, scheduling material testing, data gathering, data analysis and technical reporting
• Perform material validation and process optimization for the DEMI Post Process unit
• Study SLA and P3 secondary processing to quantify typical lead times and document standard procedures, finishes and acceptance criteria
• Conduct build time studies for different additive technologies

Must have for this role:

• Working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering
• Basic understanding of manufacturing and product manufacturing processes
• Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills
• Local to Tucson, Arizona or able to relocate without assistance to the Tucson, AZ area
• This role is on-site five days a week

Nice to have:

• 3D printing experience
• Prior internship experience
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Preferred Major(s): Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Technology Engineering, Operations Management
