Description
During architectural stage you will work with world-class architects and IC designers on next-gen chipset’s Power/Digital/Clock management. During development, you will drive schematics/layout/bring-up of both development and form factor HW. You will debug HW/SW/Co-existence issue that are often seen only by the scale and volume of an Apple product. You will also have the full weight of the world’s leading contract manufacturer behind you in factory prototype support. This role also requires heavy cross-functional collaboration with other teams (Apple SoC, battery, sensors, iOS…etc) and therefore, you will also maintain a firm grasp of the entire product landscape outside of wireless design.
Key Qualifications
- BSEE and 10+ years of relevant industry experience
- Expert in electrical engineering fundamentals
- Experience with schematic capture, layout design and review
- Experience with mobile platform system design, system integration and/or high-volume consumer electronics design
- Experience with voltage regulators, LDO, switch mode power supplies (SMPS)
- Experience with high-speed and low-speed digital interfaces, e.g. PCIe, SPMI, RFFE etc.
- Bench-level design verification experience with high-speed oscilloscopes, J-BERT, network analyzer, spectrum analyzer, phase noise analyzer
- Signal/Power integrity simulation experience with SIwave, HFSS, etc. preferred
- Experience with clock and timing devices, e.g. crystal resonator, TCXO, crystal oscillator preferred
- Experience with wireless chipset, e.g. WIFI/BT, GNSS, cellular, NFC preferred
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Position may require some international travel when approved to do so (15%)

Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $160,700 and $282,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
