Essential Responsibilities:
Lead the development and execution of targeted marketing campaigns based on customer segmentation.
Manage and optimize customer databases for targeted marketing initiatives
Oversee segmentation and personalization efforts to improve campaign effectiveness
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align database strategies with marketing objectives
Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of marketing strategies to maximize ROI.
Identify opportunities to integrate new technologies and tools into database marketing
Monitor industry trends to inform database marketing strategies and best practices
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of 15 years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualification:
Media Planning & Buying: Develop and execute comprehensive media strategies across search, social, programmatic, CTV, affiliates, and emerging platforms. Oversee budget planning, allocation, and forecasting to optimize efficiency and scalability.
Strategic Planning: Align media strategies with the company's overall goals and objectives.
Merchant Acquisition: Lead efforts to acquire new Merchants through paid media channels, including referrals, affiliates, rewards, and incentives.
Media Activities Management: Oversee all paid media activities, including global agency management, ranging from national ATL campaigns to lower funnel acquisition efforts. Collaborate with internal and external partners to drive effective media buying strategies.
Technology Adoption: Evaluate, adopt, and continuously optimize technologies to enhance media planning and buying.
Data Analytics and Measurement: Utilize data analytics and performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of media campaigns, optimize processes, and drive continuous improvement.
Team Leadership and Management: Lead a high-performing team of media professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with peers and partners in PayPal and consumer Marketing, Creative, Sales, and Analytics.
Budget Effectiveness: Oversee the budget for media activities, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to maximize ROI.
Reporting and Business Growth: Provide regular reports to senior leadership on goals, performance metrics, and business growth opportunities. Collaborate with executive leadership to develop strategic initiatives aligned with overall business objectives.
Required Skills:
A minimum of 15 years of experience in digital marketing, with experience across the funnel
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.
Proven track record of success in media planning and buying within the financial services or related industry is a plus.
Strong Media Agency management experience is a must
Extensive experience managing large teams and multi-million-dollar budgets.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with experience presenting to senior executives.
Deep understanding of paid media channels and emerging marketing technologies.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and drive results through innovation and collaboration.

The US national annual pay range for this role is $152,500 to $262,350
