Job responsibilities
- Lead a team of engineers focusing on building and enhancing our risk platform.
- Manage team performance, including coaching for career growth and fostering a healthy team environment.
- Make decisions that influence team's resources and the execution and implementation of processes and procedures.
- Lead technology and process implementations to achieve functional technology objectives.
- Engage in hands-on coding as part of regular workload, ensuring technical excellence and innovation.
- Influence peer leaders and senior stakeholders across the business, product, and technology teams

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 10+ years applied experience. In addition, 5+ years of experience leading technologists to manage, anticipate and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertise
- Expert experience leading technologists to manage, anticipate and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertise.
- Experience with hiring, developing, and recognizing talent
- Experience developing or leading cross-functional teams of technologists.
- Deep knowledge of cross-asset/cross-business Risk platforms
- Python coding experience and still keen to be hands-on
- Solid understanding of distributed frameworks
- Practical cloud native experience
- Knowledge of Kubernetes
- Experience working at code level
- Experience leading a product in a role of a Technical Lead
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Expertise in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field
- Experience with SDLC in a continuous delivery framework
- Specialized knowledge of risk in particular asset class- eg Rates, Credit, Equities
