About the role:
Join Boston Scientific as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer at our site in Arden Hills, MN. In this role you will support the electrical test process for semiconductor wafers and ball grid arrays. You'll work with cutting-edge technologies like laser engraving BGA’s, burn-in ovens, and electrical test equipment. You will also lead continuous improvement initiatives, manage new product integration projects, and provide daily support to ensure our products, processes, materials, and equipment meet safety, quality, service, and cost goals. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate, troubleshoot, and implement manufacturing processes.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
Leading cross-functional project teams by coordinating, managing, communicating, and documenting project goals and progress.
Supporting technicians during troubleshooting activities when complex technical issues arise on the production floor.
Identifying, analyzing, and proposing process and product improvements using continuous improvement tools.
Assessing the feasibility of new technologies, products, and equipment in the area.
Designing and coordinating applicable engineering tests and experiments.
Summarizing, analyzing, and drawing conclusions from complex test results.
Designing and preparing engineering reports and communicating results to technical and leadership audiences.
Completing and managing Capital Equipment Request Authorizations (CERA’s).
Training team members, including engineers, technicians, and product builders on specific tasks, and participating in the development of junior staff by providing guidance and counsel.
Demonstrating a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance with the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (preferably Electrical or Mechanical).
5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or related environment.
Proven experience in solving advanced technical problems.
Experience in leading multiple projects simultaneously.
Practical understanding of manufacturing problem-solving and process improvement tools such as DMAIC and production flow tools like LEAN manufacturing.
Experience performing equipment qualification activities (testing, documentation, training, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in final electrical testing, preferably in the Semiconductor and/or Medical Device industries
Experience working with electrical testing and reliability equipment (Burn-In Ovens, Teradyne Flex testers, STS National Instruments testers, wafer electrical probers).
Experience in highly regulated industries.
New Product Integration experience.
Experience with product documentation traceability and supporting systems.
Proven understanding of design requirements and the electrical test software code to verify that requirements are met.
Maximum Salary: $ 156900
