Qualifications

  • MSc or PhD in biology or biomedical engineering with a strong background in cellular biology.

  • Extensive hands on laboratory experience with standard cellular biology techniques, including mammalian cell culture and troubleshooting, cell isolation, bacterial cell culture.

  • Background in immunology, isolation of cells from heterogeneous populations, and cellular engineering; experience with clinical samples – a plus.

  • Background in bioassay design and development. Knowledge and background in in-vitro diagnostics, point of care systems and/or microfluidics – a plus.

  • Hands on experience in operating complex and/or custom experimental apparatus, such as, high content screening microscopy, FACS, HPLC or microfluidics systems – a plus.

  • Demonstrated ability to define and implement innovative research experiments to enable scientific and/or engineering breakthroughs.

  • Demonstrated ability to innovate in a highly multidisciplinary environment.

  • Highly self-motivated individual with conscientious work habits, articulate, with strong documentation skills, and able to collaborate effectively with other members of the project team.
