What You Will Do

1. Modeling and Optimization: Build algorithms and models to understand the impact of autonomous vehicles (AV) to marketplace, explore different strategies in matching, pricing and incentives to grow the market and optimize AV utilization and efficiency.
2. Simulation: Developing advanced simulation tech to understand the AV impact to marketplace and user experience.
3. Data Insights and pipeline: Experienced in design data schema and pipeline; Deep understanding of marketplace dynamics to measure marketplace efficiency and reliability. Generate data-driven insights to prioritize initiatives and influence the product roadmap.
4. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance user experiences specifically for AV users.

- - - - Basic Qualifications ----

1. Ph.D., M.S. or Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Machine Learning, or other quantitative fields.
2. Experience in optimization modeling in pricing / marketplace matching context
3. Deep understanding of marketplace dynamics
4. Ability to use Python and SQL efficiently for analysis and modeling.

1. Research or industry experience in building marketplace with self driving technology.
2. Broad understanding of ML, Economics, Optimization.
3. Structured thinking, with the ability to solve ambiguous problems independently.
4. Experience in leading key technical projects and substantially influencing the scope and output of others.
5. Entrepreneurial experience in building products from 0 to 1.
6. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$149,000 per year - USD$165,500 per year.

For Sunnyvale, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$149,000 per year - USD$165,500 per year.
