Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets while positioning the business for continued growth.
  • Enable builder distributor sales teams (inside and outside) with knowledge and understanding of the Samsung brand, while leveraging our value proposition, performance, and features of our products and services.
  • Along with distributor sales personnel, review products and programs with new and existing home builders, multi-family developers, design centers, and interior designers.
  • Gain an in-depth knowledge and expertise in regard to new and existing single family builders and multi-family construction projects in their market.
  • Prospect and build relationships with new builders, while maintaining strong relationships with existing builder clientele.
  • Identify business opportunities for builder distributor sales people and work with them to develop business relationships and close contracts.
  • Maintain an up-to-date sales call plan with objectives, and documentcommunications/committedto actions to distributor personnel for appropriate follow up.
  • Manage a quote pipeline within Salesforce and ensure committed business is forecasted and ordered properly.
  • Expand and maintain showroom display presence across the assigned builder distributor showrooms.
  • Provide competitive market intelligence feedback to the Regional and National Sales Directors.
  • Utilize all available marketing support materials and lead generation programs.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 6+ years of direct experience or equivalent industry experience.
  • Progressive sales career working with the home building industry, preferably in the home appliance space.
  • History of exceeding challenging sales quotas and overcomingobjections/obstacles.
  • Known to be a thought leader within a high-performing sales team.
  • 70% of time involved in selling activities (face-to-face with trade customers) with 30% in the home office conducting sales administration activities.
  • Ability to build and cultivate strong relationships with builder distributor personnel, home builders, developers, and contractors.
  • Possess solid time management and organizational skills.
  • Excels in multi-tasking, responsiveness, attention to detail, and follow-up.
  • Ability to utilize various tools to hunt for new business opportunities.
  • Highly effective in business negotiation.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to perform job requirements independently.
  • Product training expert on home appliances and smart home connectivity.
  • Utilizes Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint skills…Salesforce experience a plus.
  • Become an active member of local industry associations such as NAHB, NKBA, ASID, attends key meetings, and joins select committees.
  • Participates in regional and national trade shows.
  • Must reside in the Kansas City area.
