The Sr. DE is passionate about and capable of developing robust, scalable data models and optimizing the consumption of data sources we require to generate unique insights about our systems. You will share in the ownership of the technical vision and direction for advanced analytics and insight products. You will work with top-notch technical professionals developing complex systems at scale and with a focus on sustained operational excellence. In this role, you will have the opportunity to display your skills in the following areas:
· Managing AWS resources including Kinesis, Glue, RDS, S3, Redshift, QuickSight, etc
· Interface with other technology teams to extract, transform, and load data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and AWS big data technologies
· Explore and learn the latest AWS technologies to provide new capabilities and increase efficiency
· Collaborate with Business Intelligence Engineers (BIEs) to recognize and help adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation
· Collaborate with other tech teams to implement advanced analytics algorithms that exploit our rich datasets for statistical analysis, prediction, clustering, machine learning, and Generative AI.
· Work directly with our key customer stakeholders to help continually improve ongoing reporting and analysis processes, automating or simplifying self-service support for customersDiverse Experiences

About Sales, Marketing and Global Services (SMGS)

- 5+ years of data engineering experience
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience in at least one modern scripting or programming language, such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS

- Experience with big data technologies such as: Hadoop, Hive, Spark, EMR
- Experience operating large data warehouses
- Experience building/operating highly available, distributed systems of data extraction, ingestion, and processing of large data sets
- Experience communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe data modeling decisions and data engineering strategy
- Experience with Business Intelligence and Analytics software such as: Amazon QuickSight, Tableau
