Your Role and Responsibilities
The Procurement Professional will oversee and manage procurement processes, ensuring high performance and adherence to SLAs. They will address process issues, mentor team members, and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders to optimize sourcing efficiency and contract profitability.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a high level of core performance delivery, ensuring full implementation of documented policies, procedures, and best working practices.
  • Serve as the first escalation point for process issues.
  • Actively address any people issues and maintain high team morale overall.
  • Manage staffing, training, development, and retention of team members; mentor the team in times of need
  • Identify any Operations Centre activity that may pose a risk/issue to successful process execution and take steps to mitigate the risks/issues.
  • Perform root cause analysis in case of escalations and take steps to improve the robustness of the process.
  • Contribute to contract profitability through efficient management of resources and expenses.
  • Assume additional responsibilities as assigned by the reporting manager.
  • Manage operations of the Helpdesk including support for client procurement applications and Supplier Enablement processes.
  • Direct and coach the team of Helpdesk Agents on a need basis towards meeting customer expectations.
  • Execute operational plans to ensure all client SLAs are consistently met/exceeded.


Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Any Graduate with 5-8 years of Procurement experience.
  • Problem Solving: Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyses information skilfully
  • Customer Service: Manages difficult or emotional customer situations; Responds promptly to customer needs; Meets commitments
  • Interpersonal Skills: Maintains confidentiality; Listens to others without interrupting.
  • Verbal Communication: Proven verbal communication skills required; Needs to communicate with Suppliers over the phone as and when required; Listens and gets clarification; Responds well to questions.
  • Written Communication: Writes clearly and informatively; Able to read and interpret written information.
  • Proven experience in sourcing processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Thorough understanding of sourcing methodologies.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Sound time-management and organizational skills.
