About this role:Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a geographically distributed team of cybersecurity engineers focused on data protection.
- Define and execute the vision, strategy, and roadmap for data protection engineering in alignment with enterprise security objectives.
- Foster a team culture rooted in excellence, trust, empathy, and a growth mindset.
- Mentor and develop a technically diverse team, supporting both personal and professional advancement.
- Establish and mature performance and risk metrics, including KPIs, KRIs, and OKRs, to measure and improve program effectiveness.
In This Role, You Will:
- Oversee the development and performance of individual engineers, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Drive strategic initiatives that support business objectives and enhance data protection capabilities.
- Maintain deep awareness of internal security policies and external regulatory requirements related to information security.
- Lead the design, engineering, and implementation of advanced data protection solutions.
- Develop and enforce security controls, standards, and procedures specific to data protection.
- Make informed decisions regarding changes to security policies and procedures.
- Recommend and implement compliance and risk management strategies in collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Lead complex, cross-functional projects and initiatives impacting multiple business lines.
- Influence and collaborate with professionals across all levels, including senior leadership.
- Manage resource allocation, including personnel and budget, for the data protection program.
- Support talent acquisition and lead the development of high-potential team members.
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of technology leadership experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 4+ years of experience with strategic planning in a technology environment
- 3+ years of experience in one or more of the following security disciplines: information security monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, host/network forensics, cyber-crime investigation, penetration testing, business continuity, or cyber threat intelligence
Desired Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience working in a large enterprise environment
- Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities
- Knowledge and understanding of banking or financial services industry
- Knowledge and understanding of data security controls including malware protection, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, content filtering, Internet proxies, encryption controls, and log management solutions
- Knowledge and understanding of threat analysis and assessment of potential and current information security risk/threats
Pay Range
$159,000.00 - $305,000.00
