In this role, you will:
- Monitor and analyze, on an on-going basis, the risk limits monitoring process created by FIRO and recommend enhancements to the process over time.
- Collaborate on key investment risk oversight analysis, provide on-going market monitoring for potential impacts to Wells Fargo clients, and escalate key risk topics to monthly risk oversight forums.
- Prepare reporting packages and research potential risks for review by Investment Risk Oversight team;
- Execute ad-hoc analysis based on prevailing market events in support of FIRO’s Investment Risk Oversight team;
- Identify areas to improve team efficiency and collaborate with other FIRO team members to implement solutions including automation and development of Tableau dashboards for investment risk analysis purposes.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Investment Risk, Capital Markets, Trading, Desk Analyst, Investment Analyst, Portfolio Analyst, Investment Management Research, or Investment Services experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- 5+ years of capital markets experience, desk analyst experience, or a combination of both
- Understanding of Risk Management Principle.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
Other Desired Qualifications:
- A graduate or higher qualification in business, accounting, finance, statistics, or economics
- Progress towards or achievement of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification
- Experience or exposure with Bloomberg, MSCI Barra and/or FactSet
- Working experience with the investment management industry
- Experience analyzing financial markets and/or financial instruments for risk/return purposes
- Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision in a structured environment
- Demonstrated ability to present and explain ideas in a coherent and consistent manner
- Ability to employ software tools to create risk and performance reporting
- Understanding of financial market instruments including fixed income and derivatives.
- Excellent interpersonal, influencing, and communications skills with an ability to interact effectively with stakeholders across the organization, which includes virtual, matrixed leadership experience.
