DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Design, analyze, develop, code, unit test and debug Java/J2EE, Spring Based applications, and SOA based business services using J2EE/REST/SOAP services that satisfy business requirements for large, complex projects. Develop high quality code using Java, J2EE, Spring, and Web services using REST/SOAP. Design highly scalable and resilient applications using the AWS Cloud architecture. Manage orchestration and containerization for deployments and scaling the applications. Build dashboards and monitoring using CloudWatch, Datadog, and Splunk. Setup and manage Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment pipeline for the applications. Utilize Web Services and Java technologies to build interface/API and significantly enhance integration capability between front-end and back-end systems. Participate in cross-functional development and integration projects requiring interaction with end-users and external technology clients. Assist the team in supporting the application in QA and production environments by resolving defects in a timely manner. Keep abreast with the latest developments in Java, AWS Cloud, and open source technologies. Share knowledge with the team and propose adoption of new technologies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Integration Engineer, Design Authority, Integration Lead, Integration Consultant, Programmer Analyst, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Integration Engineer, Design Authority, Integration Lead, Integration Consultant, Programmer Analyst, or related occupation.
