- Lead and contribute to mechanical design projects.

- Demonstrate technical expertise in the development of new products and product enhancements.
- Lead technical design reviews for concept solutions, detailed designs, and evaluation of results with cross-functional and/or global teams.
- Lead development activities at supplier end e.g., tooling and ensure successful outcomes.
- Perform design integration, verification, validation, FMEA, reliability, manufacturability, and serviceability analysis/ testing.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Manage project timelines and deliverables to ensure on-time completion.
- Understand key business drivers and adhere to GEHC standards, industry standards, Medical device safety, and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or related degree with 5+ years of experience
- Experience in mechanical product design, electronics packaging design, familiar with plastic, metal, injection molding parts design and manufacturing process.
- Expertise with CAD software ability - Creo, SolidWorks, Ansys – Structural and Thermal (Desirable) analysis.
- Experience with full product cycle from concept to stable production.
- Experience in Verification and Validation testing of Hardware products.
- Experience with reliability testing and Design for Reliability tools.
- Exposure to Medical device industry.
- Demonstrated program/project planning capability.
- Demonstrated project leadership and influencing skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Desired Characteristics
- MS with 8+ years of experience in medical device field
- Demonstrated capabilities in thermal and mechanical simulation
- Six Sigma green belt or black-belt certification.
- Exposure to Lean methodologies, 5S, Kaizen etc.
- Exposure to Medical device standards like IEC60601-1.
- Exposure to Usability Engineering.
