About the Role
You will help define the user experience for some of the most critical messaging and engagement surfaces in the Eats app, support the development of advanced targeting and personalization systems, and ultimately increase the ways Uber Eats supports customers around the world with their food and household needs as they adopt more of our services. Furthermore, you will be responsible for assimilating the business needs of a variety of stakeholders, and combining them with the needs of our consumers to create a delightful and effective in-app experience.
What the Candidate Will Do
- Own the end-to-end Messaging experiences and platforms that touch every part of the Eater journey, from the home screen to checkout and delivery. Across these surfaces, you'll own the full stack, in doing so, you'll be creating and leading execution on an exciting roadmap to materially shape the way tens of millions of people interact with the Uber Eats app.
- Partner with design, research, data science, engineering, and other PM stakeholders to understand user needs and pain points, and then design holistic solutions to address them
- Work with product, operations, sales, and other partner teams around the company to understand their use cases and integrate them appropriately in the Eater app
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of delivering highly successful and innovative products with your fingerprints all over them -- and you're deeply proud of what you've accomplished.
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or similar.
- Ads / Content systems experience working with targeting, campaign management, and performance measurement.
- Experience working on presentation layer of ads or onboarding funnels is a must have (ads system experience or content ranking is highly preferred).
Preferred Qualifications
- A passion for user experience: you can both guide design priorities for the team, and have an excellent sense of experience principles.
- Platform experience: you can take a laundry list of use cases and connect the dots to develop holistic, scalable solutions with internal partners.
- You can get the data you need and can whip it into an insightful story with no help. You have experience running rigorous multivariate testing and experimentation.
- ML/ranking experience: you can work closely with Data Science & Machine Learning Engineering experts to maximize the value of touchpoints with Eaters, optimizing across eater needs & context, timing, channels, content, and more.
For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$190,000 per year - USD$211,000 per year.
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$190,000 per year - USD$211,000 per year.
