Job Description
  • Reports to Procurement Director
  • Provide guidance to Material planning team and Purchasing team on overall planning and execution activities to meet internal and external customers satisfaction in terms of build plan commits, Inventory Management, end to end support on NPI qualification and enhance procurement business process.
  • Lead the Purchasing Team on overall execution of Procure to Pay Process by placing Purchase Orders timely to fulfil business needs, ensure supplier On Time Delivery commits to meet factory operation, streamlining the supplier payment process and accountable for all material related support to Operational Team.
  • Work together with MP/Buyer & cross functional teams to continue drive for process and system improvement.
  • Collaborate with US Planning & POM Team for excess and obsolescence mitigation and avoidance as well as ensure material commit & readiness to meet customer order/factory build plan/Quarter end revenue.
  • Liaison between Global Procurement and Site Operation, collaborates with site leadership team to achieve operation excellence. Represents Material Procurement to work closely with other cross-functional leaders of SDSM operations to drive and achieve operations excellence.
  • Set departmental objectives/KPIs, review and assess ongoing performance of direct reports.
  • Responsible for developing the appropriate organizational structure, resource plans to support the business objectives.
  • Provide leadership, coaching to the team, ensuring they are trained to achieve the operational goals within their areas of responsibility and succeed in their roles.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Solid knowledge of Material Planning and Purchasing, 5 years or above management experiences.
  • Strong management skills including effective time management, problem solving, decision making, presentation, relationship management, organization.
  • Exceptional leadership skill and ability to steer team from Good to Great.
  • Think strategically and translate strategy into local relevant operational plan.
  • High energy and the enthusiasm to lead in a growing organization.
  • Ability to identify processes needed improvement, and to recommend improvements.
