Lead Software Engineer, Back End ( Enterprise Platforms Technology)

What You’ll Do:

• Lead and deliver scalable platform solutions that power cloud-native infrastructure, focusing on automation, resiliency, and operational excellence.

• Mentor and grow engineers or drive initiatives as a senior individual contributor, supporting a culture of innovation, learning, and continuous improvement.

• Own technical roadmaps for infrastructure capabilities such as smart scaling, regional failover, container orchestration, and platform observability.

• Collaborate with product owners, architects, and cross-functional partners to build and operate reliable, efficient platforms.

• Stay current with technology trends and experiment, learn, and share knowledge within and outside the organization.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree

• At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience (Internship experience does not apply)

• At least 1 year experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's Degree

• 7+ years of experience in at least one of the following: Java, Python, or Go

• 3 + years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service

• 4+ years of experience in open source frameworks

• 1+ years of people management experience

• 2+ years of experience in Agile practices

McLean, VA: $193,400 - $220,700 for Manager, Lead Software Engineer; $193,400 - $220,700 for Lead Software Engineer Richmond, VA: $175,800 - $200,700 for Manager, Lead Software Engineer; $175,800 - $200,700 for Lead Software EngineerThis role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
