Our objective is to help clients improve the performance and productivity of their Supply Chain & Operations (SC&O). With expertise in leading SC&O proprietary frameworks, you will assist clients in enhancing the reliability, flexibility, and responsiveness of their supply chains while reducing total costs. Typical roles may include developing operating models, redesigning or reengineering supply chain processes, conducting process assessments and reviews, creating frameworks and models, and contributing to thought leadership.
Your key responsibilities
As a Senior Consultant, you will be part of a team of professionals with extensive experience in Supply Chain consulting and industry practices. Typical responsibilities may include attending stakeholder meetings and preparing winning technical proposals in response to Tenders and/or Requests for Proposal (RFPs) from business clients. Drawing on your knowledge and experience, you will also be involved in creating innovative insights for clients, suggesting methods and practices to optimize their SC&O processes, improving operations, creating new sources of value, and contributing to thought leadership.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Conduct end-to-end supply chain assessments and provide strategic recommendations for optimization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement supply chain solutions that align with business objectives.
- Develop and maintain models for logistics network optimization, including scenario analysis and sensitivity testing.
- Lead logistics projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Provide expertise in areas such as transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and distribution strategies.
- Analyse large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement within the supply chain.
- Communicate complex logistics concepts and strategies to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in logistics and network optimization technologies.
- Adherence of work timings to Middle East working hours is required
Skills and attributes for success
- Good understanding of end-to-end supply chain process covering one or more of the following areas: third-party logistics (3PL), logistics and network optimization, planning and warehousing
- Strong ability to research and write technical proposal content in MS PowerPoint
- Participation in Supply chain transformation projects will be good for the role
- Good interpersonal skills with ability to build rapport with all stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
To qualify for the role, you must have
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, industrial engineering, or a related field, or an MBA in Supply Chain or Operations Management.
- A minimum of 3-6 years of corporate experience, with at least 3 years in supply chain, logistics, and network optimization within a consulting or corporate environment.
- Proficiency in LLamasoft Supply Chain Guru or similar supply chain design software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex data and modelling.
- Excellent project management abilities with a track record of successful project delivery.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint, Excel, and experience with data visualization tools like Power Bi/Tableau
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a teaming environment.
- Ability to travel as needed to meet project requirements.
- Willing to travel to Middle East and work as per Sunday to Thursday working week and support MENA timings (11AM – 8.30 PM), as preferred (when supporting Middle East Clients)
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Project management skills
- Customer handling, report writing, strong interpersonal communication skills and experience in usage of analytical tools/ representations
- Certification form APICs CSCP / CLTD, Lean Six sigma Green Belt will be an added/preferred advantage
