Key job responsibilities
Every day brings new and exciting challenges on the job while you:* Build solutions, provide technical guidance and advocate for customers
* Ensure AWS environments remain operationally healthy whilst reducing cost and complexity
* Develop trusting relationships with customers, understanding their business needs and technical challenges
* Using technical acumen and customer obsession, drive technical discussions regarding incidents, trade-offs, and risk management
* Consult with a range of partners from developers through to C-suite executives
* Collaborate with AWS Solutions Architects, Business Developers, Professional Services Consultants, and Sales Account Managers
* With a bias for action, proactively find opportunities for customers to gain additional value from AWS
* Provide detailed reviews of service disruptions, metrics, detailed pre-launch planning
* Being part of a wider Enterprise Support team you’ll provide post-sales, consultative expertise
* Solve problems across different customers as they migrate workloads to the cloud
* Uplift customer capabilities by running workshops and brown bag sessions.As we continue to expand in Australia, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to develop your technical, consulting and leadership skills. You’ll work with talented cloud technologists whilst expanding your knowledge of AWS products. You’ll also have the chance to receive mentorship and gain AWS certifications.A day in the life

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of technical engineering experience
- Hold or be able to attain an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency clearance (see https://www.agsva.gov.au/applicants/eligibility-and-suitability)
- Experience with operational parameters and troubleshooting for two (2) of the following: compute/storage/networking/CDN/databases/DevOps/big data and analytics/security/applications development in a distributed systems environment.
- Experience as a technical account manager, consultant, solutions architect, platform engineer, systems engineer, cloud architect or in a similar role


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience with AWS services or other cloud offerings
- * Understanding of technology budget management
- * Background working with Public Sector customers
