Your responsibilities include:
- Complete tooling setups and builds based off prints, Process Parameter Sheet specifications, and Preventive Maintenance system request
- Disassemble, bake, blast, and clean tooling from completed runs
- Inspect new and existing tooling to ensure compliance with print specification
- Track and maintain tooling inventory, build and continue relationships with vendors to replenish stock
- Identify and troubleshoot equipment problems to minimize down time
- Identifies and implements corrective actions for manufacturing related issues
- Modify existing and develop new tooling and fixtures
- Revise existing documents, processes, and/or methods to correct or improve processes/product
- Work with vendors/suppliers to procure and install tooling, fixtures, and/or equipment
- Participate in the redesign and/or development of tooling with the Process Development team to enable the integration of new products
- Train and provide technical support or direction to machine operators and other technicians
- Contribute toward tool room Continuous Improvement initiatives to enhance tool performance, reduce downtime, improve overall manufacturing efficiency, and other Value Improvement Projects (VIP)
Required qualifications:
- AA degree or an equivalent combination of education/work experience
Preferred qualifications:
- 4 years of experience in a tool room or similar manufacturing environment
- Experience building tools
- Basic understanding of medical device documentation requirements
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
