The margin analysts’ role within the team would be to contribute towards ensuring all calls are issued, client responses recorded correctly, and all related margin collateral movements are booked each day.
The Analyst will also be responsible for active client engagement at times where collateral balances and or MTM prices are disputed.
This requires familiarity with Excel as well as basic financial calculations
Candidate should display the ability to communicate effectively with clients and peers.
The Analyst will also be responsible for completing daily core control activities which aims in proactively managing and avoiding key risks.
Assist with identifying policy and or procedure gaps and assist management in formulating policies that streamline related work processes
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Supports an expansive and or diverse array of products services
Delivers reports to satisfy management requirements, support control activities, and the launch of products services
Provides assistance in the implementation of process improvements
Minimizes risk to the bank through increased knowledge of procedural requirements - understands and monitors errors to adhere to audit and control policies. (incl. reconciliation and other processing systems)
Demonstrates an intermediate level of understanding of products and processes, and of how duties relate integrate with others in the team and closely related teams
Utilizes strong communication, interpersonal and diplomacy skills to interact with colleagues and stakeholders, and to exchange potentially complex sensitive information, while being sensitive to audience diversity
Qualifications:
0-2 years of experience working in Treasury Operations or Middle Office
Good understanding of the financial markets with a focus on fixed income preferred
Ability to work in a structured, high volume, time sensitive, high risk and demanding environment
Good analytical skills and positive attitude
Education:
Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
