As a Manufacturing Engineering Manager here at Honeywell, you will guide a team of Process Engineers accountable for optimizing manufacturing operations and driving operational excellence. You will develop and oversee the implementation of efficient manufacturing processes, process improvements, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, design, and maintenance, to ensure the efficient and cost-effective production of our products. You will report directly to our Geismar Plant Manager and you’ll work out of our Geismar, Louisiana location on an onsite work schedule.In this role, you will impact the efficiency and quality of our manufacturing processes, driving continuous improvement and cost reduction. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth production processes and compliance with industry regulations. Your guidance will be instrumental in developing and assisting our employees to help them perform at their best and drive change across the company.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Guide a team of Process Engineers and grow their expertise and careers at Honeywell
  • Guide process improvement projects to enhance manufacturing efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to the production team, troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing issues promptly
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities, implement cost-effective solutions, and ensure that manufacturing operations are optimized for efficiency
  • Ensure accurate documentation related to manufacturing processes, work instructions, and standard operating procedures is completed
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth production processes
  • Identify potential risks in the manufacturing process and develop strategies to mitigate them
  • Ensure that all manufacturing processes comply with relevant industry regulations and safety standards

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited institution
  • Proven experience in manufacturing engineering or process engineering
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis techniques
  • Strong process engineering, process automation, and process improvement experience.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Experience in managing or guiding direct or indirect reports
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Good communication and people-oriented skills
  • Experience with Process Safety Management

  • Professional Engineering (P.E.) License
  • Advanced Engineering degrees
  • Passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence
  • Strong dedication to safety and quality
  • Engineering certifications and project management experience
