Key job responsibilities
Your role will include providing escalation-level debugging and troubleshooting for PAAM integration issues, while analyzing, solving, and creating solutions for authorization-related challenges. You will develop technical documentation and support materials for PAAM implementation, serving as a subject matter expert for PAAM APIs, SCAuth Service, and related authorization systems. A key aspect of your role will be driving projects to improve partner and internal team experiences with PAAM.You will provide engineering support for authorization-related tickets across multiple service lines, maintaining and developing tools in Java and Python to support PAAM operations. This includes debugging complex authorization flows and implementing fixes for support issues. You'll create and maintain automation tools for operational efficiency, coordinate with internal teams to maintain service level agreements, and build and maintain knowledge base for PAAM-related support cases.A day in the life
As a Solutions Engineer on the team, you will work directly with internal teams and partners, handling complex authorization queries and investigating detailed implementation issues. Your key responsibilities would be to ensure: 1) Tier-1 support for PAAM integration issues and drive resolution working with internal product teams, 2) New PAAM implementation support for partners and internal teams, 3) Operational excellence to improve time-to-resolution and reporting on authorization support metrics.
Basic qualifications
You should have a Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent, along with 4+ years of technical support experience. A strong understanding of authorization concepts and systems is essential for success in this role.Preferred qualifications
The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of software development experience with Java and experience with AWS services and distributed systems. Knowledge of authorization frameworks such as OAuth and RBAC is highly valuable, as is development experience with APIs and web services. You should have a detailed understanding of security principles and best practices, along with strong troubleshooting skills with complex distributed systems. We're looking for someone with a demonstrated passion for problem solving and operational excellence, experience with policy languages and rule engines, and knowledge of e-commerce platforms and marketplace ecosystems.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 4+ years of software development, or 4+ years of technical support experience
- Experience scripting in modern program languages
- Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems
- Experience in agile/scrum or related collaborative workflow
- Experience troubleshooting and documenting findings


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Knowledge of distributed applications/enterprise applications
- Knowledge of UNIX/Linux operating system
- Experience analyzing and troubleshooting RESTful web API calls
