Job responsibilities
- Executes security solutions design, development, and technical troubleshooting with the ability to apply knowledge of existing security solutions to satisfy security requirements for internal clients (e.g., product, platform, application owners)
- Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
- Applies specialized tools (e.g., vulnerability scanner) to analyze and correlate incident data to identify, interpret, and summarize the probability and impact of threats when determining specific vulnerabilities
- Leads delivery of continuity-related awareness, training, educational activities, and exercises
- Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
- Designs,develops, and maintains software applications using Python and Java
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to define requirements, develop solutions, and deliver high-quality software solutions
- Troubleshoots and debug issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions
- Writes clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards
- Conductscode reviews, provide constructive feedback
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on security engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
- Professionalsoftware engineering experience with Java/Spring Boot, Front End technologies like React and database querying languages
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing
- Demonstrated experience in developing web applications using RESTful API
- Previous experience developing security engineering solutions
- Proficient in coding in one of more languages
- Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Hands-on experiencewith Python
- Developer or Solutions Architect Level AWS Certification
- Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, etc
- Experience with NoSQL Databases
- Exposure to infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
- Exposure of Unix/Linux operating systems and shell scripting
