- A Masters degree in a relevant discipline, or equivalent level of experience.
- A good understanding of the environmental impacts associated with major projects
- Proven track record in delivering EIAs and other types of assessments for a range of clients.
- An excellent understanding of environmental impacts associated with major infrastructure developments and assessment methodologies sufficient to lead technical reviews of Environmental Statements.
- Experience in a key discipline area, such as ecology, landscape assessment, hydrology, and EIA - Knowledge and understanding of consenting regimes, such as the Planning Act/Development Consent Orders (DCO), Transport & Works Act, and Town & Country Planning Act.
- An excellent understanding of key environmental legislation and policy and an appreciation of the potential changing legal and policy framework for environmental studies.
- Experience in client facing roles, and in working closely with client bodies and engaging in proactive consultation with relevant stakeholders
- Team leadership experience and strong communication skills and capability in engaging motivating and influencing staff and clients.
- Strong organisational, communication and inter-personal skills and collaborative working capabilities to co-ordinate and work within multi-disciplinary and diverse teams.
- Chartered status and Full Membership of a recognised relevant professional body (e.g. IEMA).
