Key job responsibilities
Our projects span multiple organizations across Alexa and require coordination of multiple data sources, teams, and infrastructure. In this role, you will be a technical expert with massive impact. You work tightly with other data engineers, category owners and data scientist on across Alexa teams to create the reporting infrastructure and pipelines to drive our analytics from initial experimentation to production level deployment. You will work on critical analytical problems, building unique high quality reliable, accurate, consistent, and architecturally sound data and analytics solutions that are aligned with our business needs.A day in the life
A day in the life
In this role, you will deal with Alexa real time skill responses, customer utterances, Alexa-skill and vendor based data, data from various dependent interconnected systems across Alexa ecosystem. You will partner with Business/Engineering teams to consult, develop and implement KPIs, automated reporting/process solutions to meet business needs. You will build data models, ETL, reports and dashboards to enhance how business and science teams use data to deepen our understanding of customer engagement and product and ML model performance. You will develop new and innovative analyses to inform research and product roadmaps. You will share and present your analyses to science, business, and engineering teams and leadership.

- 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
- Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
