Key job responsibilities
* Lead the technical design and architecture of complex software systems that leverage generative AI technologies. Drive the development of scalable, resilient, and high-performance services that power advanced AI applications.
* Collaborate with AI/ML scientists to translate research innovations into production-ready software solutions.
* Establish engineering standards for system performance, reliability, and responsible AI implementation. Provide technical leadership in designing and implementing robust testing, evaluation, and monitoring frameworks for AI applications.

As an SDE at Amazon FinTech, you will balance technical leadership responsibilities with hands-on development work. You will guide your team through technical challenges by providing architecture direction and helping unblock junior engineers facing complex problems. You will drive architectural decisions for new features, weighing trade-offs between performance, scalability, and implementation complexity. While designing high-level system components, you will dive deep into code, implementing critical functionality and reviewing team members' contributions with detailed, educational feedback that elevates overall code quality. Your technical leadership will extend beyond your immediate team as you collaborate with product managers to refine requirements and coordinate with partner teams on integration strategies for cross-functional initiatives. You will contribute to strategic technical planning by evaluating emerging technologies, identifying optimization opportunities within existing systems, and shaping the technical roadmap. You will participate in hiring interviews, helping maintain Amazon's high engineering standards while building a strong, diverse team. - 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
