Join our dynamic team as a Technology Business Analyst Manager, where you will bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions. You'll be instrumental in analyzing business models and processes to capture requirements that translate into technical specifications. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring that the system architecture solutions align with business objectives.

Your key responsibilities

As a Manager in Technology Business Analysis, you will manage and deliver high-quality processes, solutions, or projects with a focus on risk management. Your responsibilities will include continuous process improvement, innovation, and leveraging best practices. You will oversee professional employees or supervise teams to achieve complex technical initiatives. Expect to maintain billable client charging, lead delivery streams, manage projects, and engage with external clients daily. Travel may be required based on client needs.

  • Lead the translation of business requirements into technical specifications
  • Evaluate and ensure alignment of technology solutions with business objectives
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation in processes and solutions
  • Manage large, multi-phase projects, communicate with and manage client expectations, build the project team, and manage scope, risk, budget, and timeline activities
  • Provide high-level technology assessments, planning, recommendations, and project management with a focus on developing and achieving client goals and objectives
  • Identify key client risks and opportunities, determine client needs utilizing standard assessment techniques and tools, use innovative approaches to evaluate and validate needs, analyze and develop recommendations for the client in the context of the engagement
  • Implement and oversee the quality of deliverables and effectively manage the team and day-to-day relationships to ensure exceptional performance
  • Participate in business development and presentation of proposal activities
  • Provide project status reporting, metrics, billing, and client progress reports
  • Ensure engagements are clearly documented

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • A Bachelor's degree (4-year degree), with a master's degree preferred in computer science, Management information systems, or related disciplines.
  • 7+ years of consulting experiencing working on a technology strategy, transformation, or solution delivery project with diverse teams and roles
  • Typically, no less than 4-6 years of relevant experience within the Insurance industry (preferably life & annuities, group benefits, individual life, or retirement services).
  • Strong oral and written communication skills including executive presentation skills
  • Experience assessing and improving business processes, systems, and associated technologies
  • Understanding of Insurance and Annuities products and life cycle processes
  • Experience with one or more of the following policy administration systems: FINEOS AdminSuite, ALIP, GIAS, DXC wmA/CyberLife, LifePRO, FAST, Infosys McCamish, InsPro, Majesco, OIPA, Alis, V3, Wyde, Andesa
  • Experience with one or more of the following new business, claims, and underwriting systems: Limelight Health, FINEOS AdminSuite, iPipeline, nbaccelerator, Concentrix, Insurance Technologies, Vitech, ClaimVantage, Vue
  • Experience supporting business development activities (e.g. pursuits, proposals, presentations)

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making
  • Program/Project/Workstream management experience in an on-shore/off-shore model working with clients and third-party vendors
  • Experience leading Agile projects, on-premise/hosted technology transformation programs, legacy migration, and Life Insurance IT vendor package implementation projects
  • Some experience or exposure to one or more of the following: application servers, database, development tools, middleware and integration technologies.
  • Experience in roles such as IT or Business Architect, Business Analyst, Developer (preferably .NET, Java / J2EE or Java based languages)
  • Experience with policy admin system configuration to support the design and build of business processes related to new business, underwriting, servicing and claims.

The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $141,200 to $258,900. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $169,500 to $294,300. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
