Boston Scientific Mechanical R&D Engineer III

Your responsibilities will include

  • Own the development of mechanical components in complex, cutting-edge medical device systems.
  • Develop and validate test methods and fixtures to assess mechanical designs.
  • Create CAD models and drawings of parts and assemblies using SolidWorks (or similar) tools.
  • Collaborate with team members to translate customer needs into product requirements and support risk documentation creation.
  • Write and execute protocols and reports for design verification.
  • Maintain detailed documentation throughout all phases of research and development.
  • Clearly communicate with relevant parties to facilitate team decision making.
  • Work independently to plan and schedule your own activities, which are necessary to meet timelines.
  • Work cooperatively with Process Development, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Clinical, and Marketing to commercialize product.
  • In all actions, demonstrate a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to all documented quality processes and procedures.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering.
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 4 or more years of experience OR Master’s Degree with 2 or more years of experience.
  • Experience with SolidWorks, and excellent MS Office suite skills.
  • Ability to draw conclusions and make recommendations based on technical inputs from multiple and varied sources.
  • Willingness to travel up to 15%.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with medical devices or regulated industry design control process and documentation.
  • Experience in design, analysis and testing of complex mechanical systems.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.

Maximum Salary: $ 144400

Compensation fornon-exempt (hourly), non-sales rolesmay also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
