Job Description:
This position requires office presence of a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the location(s) posted. No relocation is offered.
AT&T has an opening for a Director of Government Security in our Columbia, MD office, with ten years minimum experience in a DoD or other U.S. Government (USG) Industrial Security program and at least 5 Years Intelligence Community experience with an in-depth knowledge of IC Security Program management and government security policy and regulations. Successful training as a U.S. Government Contractor Special Security Officer or completion of the Facility Security Officer training through the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency and/or commensurate USG experience training. Experience must include supervision or management of a team or staff.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provides direct management and oversight to the staff supporting government programs/customers.
- Oversees the development and implementation of program security procedures commensurate with government policy and regulations.
- Develops and maintain relationships with outside government agencies and corporate entities.
- Interprets government security requirements and provides guidance and resolution for program enablement.
- Initiates and coordinates the development and implementation of security procedures, manuals and revisions for
- classified facilities and/or programs.
- Recommends strategy, goals, and plans for the successful support and execution in the classified program security
- environment(s).
- Interprets government security requirements and provides guidance and solution for program activities.
- Assists the business with the retention of existing contracts and capture of new opportunities.
- Provides leadership and oversight to junior level employees. Develops human capital and resource plans to
- achieve organizational objectives.
- Supports goals and objectives, which contribute to the financial and business success of the government security
- organization.
- Influence achievement of broader, more functional objectives in line with overall corporate strategy.
- Works closely with AVP and other Directors to develop a robust streamlined government security program.
Required Qualifications:
- Energetic and creative individual ability to think outside the box and provide an innovative approach to security and the implementation of automation to work smarter and create consistency.
- Experience with the Intelligence Community (IC), DOD or other US Government (USG) Industrial Security programs and an in-depth knowledge of the (IC, DOD or other government security regulations.
- Knowledgeable of current SCIF Construction standards, ICD 705.
- Experience with the development of Program Security CONOPS and OPSEC Plans.
- Ability to Coach, develops, and effectively lead a team with constructive feedback ensuring ownership and accountability.
- Bachelor’s Degree or 10 years’ experience, associate’s degree or 15 years’ government security experience.
- Minimum 5 years supervising or managing security professionals. Can be employees or subcontractors.
- Possess a general understanding of all Public Laws, Executive Orders, directives, regulations, and policies associated with Intelligence Community (IC) Security requirements.
This includes a working knowledge of both ICDs, as well as
- the Security Executive Agent Directives (SEADs) used by the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) as a means of disseminating national security policy and requirements relative to gaining and maintaining access to TOP SECRET/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) materials and spaces.
- Candidate must maintain eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and a successful polygraph.
Desired Qualifications
- Facility Security Officer (FSO) or other security professional training through the Center for Development of Security Excellence (CDSE) or comparable U.S. Government (USG) personnel/physical security training.
- Experience working in a team environment within a professional office setting.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Director, Government Securityearns between $158,200 - $237,400.Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
