Job Title : Senior Vice President – ESG Controller
The ESG Controller responsibilities will focus on the governance oversight working closely with Risk, businesses, Controllers and other functions and disciplines across the organization to ensure timely and accurate reporting of ESG disclosures in a standardized and controlled process.
Since 2016, the bank has been supervised jointly by the Central Bank of Ireland (CBI) and European Central Bank (ECB).
What you’ll do
- Support the development and implementation of ESG strategies and initiatives across the organization, representing the finance function and providing finance specific context and input.
- Monitor regulatory developments and industry trends related to ESG regulation, reporting and governance, providing insights and recommendations for compliance and best practices.
- Review and challenge throughout the production process and for final deliverables of ESG regulatory reporting requirements, such as Pillar 3, EU Taxonomy, CSRD, and STE reports.
- Lead and facilitate the components of ESG regulatory reporting through functional governance process within finance and through the broader legal entity governance cycle.
- Contribute to the enhancement of ESG data collection, analysis, and reporting methodologies to comply with expanding ESG regulatory requirements such as Pillar 3, CRSD, EU Taxonomy, STE, CRD VI, CRR III etc.
What we’ll need from you:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree (e.g. sustainability or ESG focussed) or professional certification (e.g., CFA, FRM) is a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance, risk management roles within the banking or financial services industry
- Understanding of ESG principles, frameworks (e.g. Pillar 3, CRSD, EU Taxonomy, STE, CRD VI, CRR III), and regulatory requirements, particularly related to governance.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and draw actionable insights.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
