Your key responsibilities
As a technology consulting manager, you are expected to act as a team lead in terms of your knowledge and experience in technology transformation and commercial banking, and your ability to lead practitioners throughout the creation and successful delivery of work products. You will be a critical member of the team working with our program leads and key SMAs to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive solution will be delivered on-time and on-budget to the utmost satisfaction of our clients. You will manage and lead client engagement teams with diverse skills and backgrounds, fostering an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment and provide constructive on-the-job feedback/coaching to team members. You will be an active member providing counselling and mentoring to junior consultants within the organization.
Skills and attributes for success
- Working with clients to drive transformational change in the way they deliver application testing services in their organizations
- Manages all activities involved in the end to end testing process, including strategy, planning, execution, quality assessment and issue resolution
- Prepares and executes the different test levels, monitors the progress, and reports the result of the test execution to relevant stakeholders
- Planning, implementing and quality assurance for large complex testing projects; Define and implementation of Program Test strategy for complex enterprise-wide level initiatives
- Teaming with business organizations to facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Coaching team members with a goal of fostering an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment
- Sharing your knowledge and developing engagement tools and enablers to build capability for the practice
- Developing client relationships across multiple levels and support sales efforts
To qualify for the role, you must have
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Accounting, Finance or a related field and approximately 7+ years of relevant work experience
- At least 5 years of professional work experience with a mid-to-large size public accounting firm, professional consulting firm, or within industry (financial services, technology)
- At least 5 years of experience in managing and supervising teams of professional employees and mentoring team members through development feedback and performance processes
- Excellent collaboration and teaming skills in diverse environments
- Technical competency experience with Test Strategy & Operating Model Development, Testing Center of Excellence/IT Transformation Program Management, Agile Test Management, User Acceptance Test Coordination, IT Organizational Change Management, Enterprise Data Management, IT Life cycle Management, or IT Delivery Management
- We would expect for you to be available to travel outside of your assigned office location at least 80% of the time, plus commute within the region. Successful candidates must work in excess of standard hours when necessary. A valid passport is required
Ideally, you'll also have
- 7 to 10+ years of experience in a technology organization (preferably in financial services industry) with a focus on test engineering
- Experience of leading teams on large scale transformation programs
- Deep understanding and prior experience of software development and QA life cycle processes (including test planning, test case design, execution, defect tracking and reporting
- Knowledge of one or more of the following tools - Azure DevOps, HP ALM/Quality Center, JIRA, CA Agile Central/Rally
- A "go-getter" attitude, passion to constantly learn, improve and perform at the highest level

What we offer
We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $141,200 to $258,900. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $169,500 to $294,300. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
