Your key responsibilities
- Manage and provide timely and high-quality services and work products that exceed client expectations
- Assist in the recording and reporting of investment transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Support the preparation of financial statements and monthly reporting packages.
- Collaborate with team members to gather and organize client data for reporting purposes.
- Contribute to the technical development of the team by sharing knowledge and best practices.
- Seek feedback and guidance from team leadership to enhance personal and team performance.

To qualify for the role you must have:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in tax and/or accounting, preferably in investment accounting.
- Experience in analyzing financial data including trading of securities and investments and an understanding of trading terms related to securities trading and investing.
- Excellent communication skills, oral and written, using a consultative approach and demonstrating an ability to clearly communicate expectations
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team to achieve results and be solution oriented
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and willingness to learn firm-specific technologies.
- Experience with analyzing and solving problems
- Experience working with business, management and technology concepts
- Experience in analyzing financial data including trading of securities and investments and an understanding of trading terms related to securities trading and investing.
- Demonstrate project management, teaming, organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience at creating a positive continual learning environment for team members
- Ability to address escalated issues or engage others to provide guidance
- Effective organization and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

- Adept at summarizing and concluding activities, applying appropriate documentation standards
- Must have one of the following certifications, or the ability to obtain one of these certifications within 1 year from you join EY: CPA, JD, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt and/or Project Management Professional “PMP”; Master’s degree in Accounting, Tax, Business Administration, Finance; Certain other certifications accepted, please inquire for additional details
What we offer
We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $86,600 to $158,800. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $103,900 to $180,300. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
