Job Responsibilities:
- Manage the professional development of staff through all levels of their organization
- Develop an in-depth understanding of commercial Lending
- Understanding of commercial Lending (vendor) applications like Finastra Loan IQ, FIS -ACBS and other market leading commercial lending platforms.
- Demonstrate strong product knowledge & hands on experience and domain expertise on commercial lending operations, E2E process/loan life cycle
- Participates in the QA of solutions to ensure features and functions have been enabled and optimized
- Resolve escalations and act as primary point of contact for upstream business partners
- Design and Implement Organizational objectives across all levels
- Partner with business & legal teams to improve partnership and collaboration on new deals
- Partner with technology teams to improve existing processes and develop new technologies
- Drive a robust control-focused organization while limiting risks, support audits and other testing as applicable
- Maintain high levels of engagement with the Lenders, Credit executives/Underwriters, Client service executives and Bankers
Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree
- 15 years of relevant Deal Closing experience
- Experience reading and interpreting loan documentation
- Knowledge of nostro/cash matching, General Ledger reconciliation and SWIFT and remittance systems
- Strong problem solving and investigative skills to undertake analysis, resolve issues/problems related to the process
- Strong risk & control mindset
- Experience in driving small to medium sized projects with strong results
- Strong people and performance management skills
- Strong escalation management skills
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:
- Syndicated loan experience (or experience in a back office/financial industry)
- Related experience dealing with legal documentation
- Loan IQ
- Loan operations experience is preferred
