About the role:

In this exciting role, you will provide engineering expertise to support the development of complex electro-mechanical medical device systems within the Interventional Cardiology Coronary Therapies team. Day-to-day work will include a variety of design-related activities including design analysis, characterizing product performance, and driving key design changes; while working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This role will utilize a variety of new and proven technologies to deliver life-changing medical devices to patients and clinicians in support of BSC’s mission.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Fully participate on project team to contribute the necessary technical work related to product design and development.
  • Perform tolerance analysis, root cause investigations, and failure mode assessments.
  • Develop thorough test plans, drive experiment execution, analyze data, and present findings for electro-mechanical systems.
  • Read and understand electrical/electronic schematics and design drawings for the purposes of building, evaluating, testing and troubleshooting assemblies.
  • Create CAD models and drawings of parts and assemblies using SolidWorks and Altium tools (or similar).
  • In all actions, demonstrate a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to all documented quality processes and procedures.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering).
  • 3+ years of hands-on work experience in product development.
  • Ability to draw conclusions and make recommendations based on technical inputs from multiple and varied sources.
  • Willingness to travel up to 15%.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with medical device or regulated industry design control process and documentation.
  • Experience with electro-mechanical systems.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Candidates should be self-starters and have a hands-on approach.

Maximum Salary: $ 132000
