Job Description:
As a Business Systems Analyst specializing in Data, you will play a pivotal role in understanding and translating business needs into data-driven solutions. You will work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze data, and design systems and processes that enhance data management, reporting, and analytics. Your expertise will help optimize business performance through data insights and innovative solutions.
Documentdetailed requirements for data systems, including data sources, structures, and reporting needs.
o Conductgap analyses to identify and address inconsistencies or deficiencies in current data systems.
Data Management and Integration:
o Analyzeand design data integration processes to ensure seamless data flow between systems.
o Developdata mapping and transformation rules for data migration or integration projects.
o Profiledata, monitorand improve data quality, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
System Design and Development:
to understand (sometimes design), interpretdata models, including database schemas, relational databases, and data warehouses.
o Workwith engineering team on requirements, test data systems and solutions.
Reporting and Analytics:
o Perform
o Developand enhance analytical tools and processes to improve data accessibility and usability.
Project Coordination:
o Coordinatewith cross-functional teams, including data product managers, data engineers and business units, to document and review requirements and PRDs.
o Provide
Continuous Improvement:
o Staycurrent with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in data management and analytics.
o Identifyopportunities for process improvements and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
8+years of experience in the IT industry, experience in Data Technology space is preferred.
Stronganalytical skills including the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Strongprogramming skills in SQL,Python; experiencein non-SQL databases is a plus.
Familiarwith big data stack; Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform is highly preferred.
Familiarwith data movement techniques and best practices to handle large volumes of data.
Experiencewith data warehousing architecture and data modeling best practices.
Experiencewith File Systems, server architectures, and distributed systems.
Work independently, comfort with ambiguity, and ability to deliver within strict time frames.
Strongorganizational skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple concurrent tasks.
Teamoriented individual and self-starter who excels at learning new processes and business functions.
Strongcommunication skills and willingness to take initiative to contribute beyond basic responsibilities.
Analyticalskills necessary to make solid decisions: define problem or process improvement opportunity, identify and analyze options, propose solutions.
