In this role, you'll be part of a strategic team building a family of enterprise-grade AI products with visibility at the highest levels of AWS leadership. You'll have the opportunity to build and launch new AI services from the ground up, improve existing offerings, learn the state-of-the-art in AI technologies, and work closely with an exceptional group of product, engineering, and science leaders. While an ML background is preferred, it's not required, as we value diverse perspectives and skills in building large-scale, enterprise-ready AI systems.Key job responsibilities
As an SDE on the team, you will:
- Design and implement high-throughput, low-latency fault tolerant distributed system architectures to support the training, serving, and scaling of complex generative AI models.- Participate in agile project management methodologies to provide technical leadership and project management for all aspects of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

Mentorship & Career Growth

- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
