Ensuring compliance within the MU Rev Rec team with SAP internal revenue recognition policies and international accounting standards (IFRS 15)
Collaborating with key stakeholders and other finance departments to ensure alignment on revenue recognition issues and impact on CCB/RPO (e.g., to ensure revenue forecast accuracy)
Aligning with other regional Rev Rec teams and SAP Corporate functions as appropriate
Helping influence new policies & processes to enforce simplification and agile operation
Working with internal and external auditors on revenue recognition items and SOX controls
Deliver regular training sessions to spread basic revenue recognition knowledge into the field
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Rev Rec deal support at Regional level/MU Level
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Master’s Degree in Business Administration with an Accounting concentration
Audit experience is a plus
Strong leadership skills and problem solving attitude
Strong communication skills, ability to articulate points of view in a clear and assertive fashion
Ability to interact and communicate with various stakeholders (sales, operations, finance community, auditors, etc.)
Ability to focus on the overall picture, solve problems and provide operational and decision support
Thorough understanding of IFRS15 accounting rules, specifically on cloud and software topics
Prior experience in software revenue recognition is required
Knowledge of SAP systems and specificities is a strong plus
