Amazon Prime Video is seeking a Technical Operations Manager with experience in live sports production, engineering, and technology. This role has responsibilities in both technical operations and project management.You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams on end-to-end production, content delivery, and live event production strategy/execution. In this role you will work and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive and deliver projects and initiatives for Amazon Prime Video.This position will utilize technical expertise to manage project life cycles and establish effective communication across departments and stakeholders. You will lead live production efforts on cross functional projects like technical management, cloud-based production, master control workflows, video playback, asset management, and signal acquisition/delivery.You will support our content and operational goals by leading live production’s technical projects, as we drive innovation on behalf of customers. You will collaborate with internal partners such as Prime’s Technical Integration Management and Live Ops departments.You will establish best practices to assess risks, anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate/make trade-offs, and balance business needs versus constraints.You will manage complex projects, assign responsibilities, manage project schedules, and identify appropriate resources needed to execute objectives and meet project milestones.To be successful, you will need to thrive on a diverse team, think strategically, be detailed driven, understand systems architecture/workflows, and have excellent problem-solving abilities.

We provide technical operations support for live sports streaming on Prime Video. A successful team member requires vision, ability to deal with ambiguity, and a drive to learn and be curious in a high-stakes environment that is constantly evolving.

· 6 + years of technical management experience.
· 6 + years of experience working directly with engineering and technical teams.
· 6 + years working in a production environment.
· Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating project schedules.
· Experience and deep knowledge for troubleshooting and problem solving technical operations.
· Experience and knowledge of streaming technology and platforms.

· 10 + years of technical management experience, working directly with engineering and technical teams in a production environment.
· Experience managing and delivering product quality and testing.
· Experience defining technical and production roadmaps and requirements.
· Experience with digital video streaming and/or customer-facing user interfaces.
· Demonstrate ability to lead meetings and clearly communicate live production workflows.
· Audio/Video engineering experience.
· Demonstrate ability to build relationships with key vendors all over the world.
· Demonstrate ability to run a tender process and negotiate business terms with vendors.
· Demonstrate awareness of current trends, production equipment and tools.
· Demonstrate ability to be a calm leader, create a healthy work environment and deliver results in a high-stakes environment.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
